Mr. and Mrs. Allye Jennings

Jennings Mark 50th Anniversary

PARSONS. Tenn. — Mr. and Mrs. Allye Jennings were honored on their golden wedding anniversary with open house by their son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Evans Jennings of Cincinnati, Ohio.

In the receiving line were the honorees Mr. and Mrs. Jennings, and Mr. and Mrs. Evans Jennings. Mrs. Allye Jennings was radiant in a sheath fashioned of pink crepe. She pinned a gold orchid corsage at her shoulder. Mrs. Evans Jennings chose an imported white cotton eyelet creation with a gold corsage of chrysanthemums.

Miss Phylis Jennings, granddaughter of the honorees kept the guest register.

The reception rooms were decorated with lovely gift arrangements of gold chrysanthemums, gold daisies, and gold gladioli.

Gifts were placed in the bedroom for the guests to view. The dining room was decorated with yellow roses in attractive containers and lighted with glowing gold tapers in branched candelabra.

Refreshments were served from a table covered by a white satin cloth overlaid with white lace net caught up with green and gold medallions and white buds. A gold wreath with the numerals "50" was placed atop the cake, centered with a gold bow, and a punch bowl graced the other end of the table.

Petite sandwiches, nuts, mints, wedding cake and yellow punch were served by Mrs. H. L. Townsend, Mrs. Paul Ayers, Mrs. Carl Partin, Mrs Hobert Townsend Jr., Mrs. H. E. Pickens, Mrs. W. R. McNeil, Mrs. W. E. Smith, Mrs. Phillip King, Mrs. Gene Hibbitt, and Mrs. Murray King.

Out-of-town guests and relatives attending were Mrs. Nola Ivey, Mr and Mrs. W. R.. McNeil, Mr and Mrs. J. E. Pickens, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Smith and Sarah Beth, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip King and Kelly. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Partin of
Memphis, Miss Cherly Hibbitt, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Hibbitt and Claudie of Nashville.

Mr. and Mrs. John Brown of Chesterfield. Miss Diane Britt of New York. Mr. and Mrs. Murray King and Ronda of Bemis, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Louce Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Harris. Mrs. Ernest Arnold, Mr. and Mrs. William Arnold of Lexington, Mrs. Frank Cequin and Mrs. Crockett Owens of Huntington, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Usery and Tommy, Mr. and Mrs. George William White of Decaturville, Mrs. Jeff Simmons of Shreveport, La., and Miss Betty Fisher.

About 200 guests called between the hours of 2 and 5 p.m.
