The father of Charles Taylor Alexander is Charles Corolus Alexander.  The brothers of Charles Taylor Alexander are Benjamin Cathy and William F. (Billy) Alexander.  Benjamin Cathy married Martha Angeline Clayton.

My Grandfather Charles Taylor Alexander Born Feb. 18, 1862, the son of Charles G. Alexander Born Dec. 27, 1820. Died Apr. 28, 1902. His mother Harriet Brawley born Feb. 9, 1824, died June 4,1904. She was the daughter of Granville Brawley. My Grandfather's brothers were Cathey, William F. (Billy), sisters Elizabeth, Mary Ann and Lucy. They lived in Hardin Co. and most are buried at Shady Grove.

On Feb. 7, 1889 my Grandfather married my Grandmother Mary Elizabeth (Mollie) Young Born Feb. 6,1867 who raised in Decatur Co. in Thurman Community. The marriage was performed by Rev. Tom Newt Smith, a methodist minister. Her mother was Mary Ann Creasy Born Mar. 17, 1838 in Decatur Co. Her father was James Irvin Young who fought in Civil War. She had 4 half brothers — Billy, Andy, Frank Kincannon and Caleb Perry Patterson. Her mother married three times and were Civil War Soldiers or had served in war.

My Grandparents had 8 children 4 boys and 4 girls, E. L. (Lute) married Maudie Robbins, 9 children Nora married Roy Montgomery-b children Howard 1st marriage Ethel Thompson-7 children 2nd marriage Clara Creasy-13 children, Hattie 1st marriage Logan Britt-1 child 2nd marriage Albert Strawn - 4 children Paford 1st marriage Clyde Holland - 1 child 2nd marriage Sid Thomison - 5 children Perry married Rita Sparks - 11 children Mitchell died about 3 years of age. Ida married Carl Creasy - 9 chilldren. Three of the children are still living Hattie age 83-Pafford age 81-Perry age 76 - My Mother Hattie Alexander Strawn is the only child who resides in Decatur Co. and has all of her life.

My Grandfather died April 11, 1931

My Grandmother died May 11, 1940

They are buried in Corinth Methodist Church Cemetery. All of their children were buried there except E. L. who is buried at Bruceton.

Their children and most of their 70 grandchildren were born in Decatur Co.

To the best of my knowledge forty eight surviving grandchildren are living in Decatur Co. They are Mrs. Mapul Wyatt, Mrs. Blanche Tuten, Taylor Strawn, Mrs. Faye McBride and Gerald Creasy. The following Great Grandchildren living in this Co. are Jimmy Dean Fisher, Buddy Tuten, Nancy Tuten Jones, Joyce Strawn Williams, Johnny Strawn, Ronny Strawn , Timmy Strawn, Tommy Wyatt, Jamie Ray McBride, Janet McBride, Max L. Strawn, Renae Strawn and Kenneth Gaff.
