They built a home in the Bear Creek section and a Postoffice was established here by the name of Partinville, being named after the first Postmaster, George W. Partin.

Mr. and Mrs. Partin lived here until the Midland Railroad came through Parsons, later known as the Perryville branch. The railroad bypassed the little village and that was when Parsons sprung up.

After Parsons was established as a town the Partins moved here and established one of the first stores. He also served here as the first postmaster.
