Because of its proximity to the two churches in Bible Hill, the George Frizzell home was the one where the circuit riding ministers most often came for Sunday dinner -- much to the dismay of the chldren in the family who had to wait and eat around the second table.
"The Frizzell house had four rooms, a tin roof, front porch with dog-trot, and a stone chimney. The family took pride in having the best well water in the vicinity and were always able to offer a dipper of cold water from a freshly drawn pail to visitors on a hot summer day.
"George Frizzell was content to farm his land and be head of his household. He was a man of medium height and a fair complexion and was a quiet man by nature, becoming even more so in later years when he became hard-of-hearing. He lived to be eighty-five years old, enjoying the love and respect of wife, children, and grandchildren. An assumption is made here that the Elmer J. Bowman, age 78, who died in 1985 and was buried in Maple Springs Cemetery, is the Elma Bowman, D, age 4, in the household of John W.
