Obituary

"The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away." He gave unto us a daughter, a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. Now he cometh and taketh her away.

Lilla Shaw Bond, born to the late Lawrence and Paralee Shaw, departed this life May 21, 1993 at 6 o'clock a.m.

She was a housewife and life long resident of Haywood County. She was a member of Beech Grove Church of Christ.

She leaves to cherish her memories; six sons: Everette (Carterlene) Bond of Mansfield, OH; Clyde (Mattye Sue) Bond and Edgar Bond of Brownsville, TN; Howard (Phylis) Bond of Chicago, IL; Harry (Erma) Bond of Memphis, TN; and Herman (Suzzane) Bond of Jackson, TN; three daughters: Helen Williams of Brownsville, TN; Ruth (Joe) Britt of Jackson, TN; and Lilla Jean Matlock of Atlanta, GA; twenty-four grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren; one sister, Lucy Bond of Mansfield, OH; one brother; Alvis Shaw of St. Louis, MO; and five sisters-in-law; Sarah, Beatrice, Rebecca, Earline and Eva; two brothers-in-law; Johnny Bond and William Bate Bond; and a host of other relatives and friends.
