SENIOR CLASS POEM

Class Poem

We are happy, oh! so happy
  Just to know the goal is near,
And when we've reached the height of our ambition
  We'll have nothing else to fear.

The four long years we've been working,
  Gaining little day by day,
Until at last we've reached the mark
  That did seem far away.

When first we started on our voyage
  The sea looked still and calm,
But after traveling for a while
  The waves began to come.

Sometimes we felt that we were lost
  And could not find our way;
But by the help of stronger hands
  We anchored safe today.

Dear old L. H. S., we owe so much to you;
  You have guided and protected us
The whole journey through.
  Now dear old school, we'll always be loyal to you.

And as we set our sails for other shores
  And board the ship of time,
We hope to be remembered,
  Although we dwell in another clime.
