The Hamlett-Smith House



Minnie's Parlor. Picture over fireplace is Mary Melissa Benson Smith (Miss Liza's grandmother). Wall
paper was imported from England in 1864. The bedroom furniture was made of satin walnut, veneered
and hand carved. The rocking chair is made of ebony and was used to rock all the Smith children.
